For 2011-2012 I will be teaching online several sections of Composition 2 for the second year. This course is suitable for eighth grade and up, through Veritas Press Scholars Academy. Each ninety-minute class is conducted primarily with audio lecture and interaction, using Power Point and whiteboard capabilities, and up to twenty students participate via chat window and microphone. Students submit many informal and two formal writing assignments plus an exam each semester, and I offer ongoing feedback and evaluation in class meetings, in a kind of workshop format. The cost for the year is $550, plus books.

Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning at 8:00, 9:30, 12:30, or (possibly) 2:00 Eastern Time, starting Labor Day and ending the last week in May, with a week off for Thanksgiving and two weeks off for Christmas.
