For Tutors
Writing Assessment Services has been working alongside online Great Books tutors since 1997, when I first began offering evaluations to students of Wes Callihan's Schola Tutorials. Fritz Hinrichs of Escondido Tutorial Service, who helped me establish my first web site presence, contracted with me to evaluate all his students' papers in GBI a couple of different years. And Mark Vance and Norm Lund have sent students my way for evaluations of their work in various courses.
I have also worked with people in homeschool co-ops and individual courses in their local communities to provide curricula and evaluations for the students in these groups. Karen West of Southern California has been offering successful writing classes of her own design, with my Evaluations, for several years. I can offer discounts for group enrollments in such evaluations.
And I have just finished a year of teaching in a high school study center for homeschoolers in my own community, having crafted a proposal examining its feasibility, suggesting a complement of courses, and creating a long-term plan for the core history and humanities curriculum.
