For Home Schools
Writing Assessment Services first began serving the homeschooling community in the mid 1990s, and homeschoolers remain my core clientele. I can help your one student or the whole family, and though I offer a variety of courses and evaluation options, I want to serve your family as we develop plans together.
Begin with the Courses page, considering whether a Great Books Writing Workshop or a Progymnasmata Tutorial or Apprenticeship Writing Workshop might work with your existing curriculum plan. These courses are all somewhat flexible but include suggested schedules to keep you on track.
Evaluations offer you great flexibility, as I treat each assignment individually, according to any guidelines you include with the submission. I can provide your student accountability for the assignments you give him. To save money, consider an Evaluation Package to share among family members.
If you are especially independent or budget-minded, you may find a Consultation or Single Evaluation will provide just the guidance you need, plus your choice of a full syllabus of materials to use on your own with your students. New in 2010, consider a Resource Membership in one of my Courses, so that you can pick and choose from among the assignments and ask questions on the forums -- but save money because you complete your own evaluations.
